Fiesta Honda is excited to tell you that we have tons of options for the 2017 Honda Accord in San Antonio! It’s no surprise to anyone that this new Accord has really broken the boundaries of the affordable and comfortable mid-size car segment. If you’re a current Accord owner then you know what we mean, but if not, you’re in for a treat. Not only is this new Accord an award-winner, the Accord model has been around for more than 40 years now, so you know it is perfection!

So, what can you expect in this new Accord? Well, for starters the 2017 Accord has a grille design that will make you double take when you notice the (available) LED headlights and daytime running lights. The body style is elegant and bold with angular lines and beautifully designed wheels for the perfect combination of sophistication and confidence. It’s not just the headlights that are LED, the taillights are too for 360 degrees of an eye-catching vehicle.

Aside from the exterior, you have some interior features to look forward to. The interior is completely refined to make driving the Accord enjoyable. Features that were created for optimal driving comfort include the ergonomically-designed steering wheel with controls, 10-way adjustable memory seats, one-click shifting gears, a push start button, dual-zone AC, HomeLink®, and a functional center console complete with space for a tablet.

Because safety features are really what make or break a new car decision, let’s talk about those. Honda really had the consumer in mind when designing the new 2017 Honda Accord in San Antonio, and it’s evident in the technology that was implemented. Honda created the Honda Sensing™ suite that will alert you of dangers outside the vehicle when you might not see them yourself. In addition to the Honda Sensing™ suite, there is the Lane Keeping Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation Braking System and the Road Departure Mitigation System. To put it lightly, the Accord will keep you safe in a variety of scenarios!

Lastly, there is an Accord Hybrid option for those of you who are fuel-conscious. The Accord Hybrid gets an incredible 49/47-MPG city/highway* which really makes an impact considering competition doesn’t get more than 43 city MPG. The Accord Hybrid is making waves in the Hybrid category because not only is it fuel efficient, but it still gets 212 horsepower with the use of two motors! This is made possible by the fact that it can switch into Sport Mode for better acceleration.

2016 Sonata vs. 2016 Accord in San Antonio

If you know anything about the 2016 model year vehicles, then you know that they are game-changers in several ways! Whether you’re just dipping your toes in the search for a new car or you’ve been looking for a while, Fiesta Honda invites you to check out our most recent comparison, the 2016 Sonata vs. the 2016 Accord in San Antonio! We’ll be highlighting 5 car categories we believe are most important in the purchase of a new car so you can make the most educated decision. Here we go!

Safety

Both the Accord and the Sonata can tout acceptable safety ratings, but the Accord has Active Head Restraints that protect the front driver and passenger from whiplash, something that the Sonata doesn’t offer at all, which sets it apart. In addition to the whiplash protection, the Accord has available parking sensors and was given the top rating of “Good” in the overall evaluation for the IIHS frontal offset crash test. The Sonata does not have parking sensors, and was rated only “Acceptable” in the IIHS crash test.

Warranty and Reliability

Did you know that there are 73% more Honda dealers than there are Hyundai dealers? Getting your car serviced in your Accord is significantly more convenient than getting your Sonata would be.

The J.D. Power and Associate’s survey of owners of 3-year-old cars conclude that Honda cars were ranked 5th in reliability, while the Hyundai vehicles were ranted way low on the list, at 24th.

Power and Performance

With the most basic 2016 Accord engine, you’ll get 185 horsepower, which is great in the sedan market. With the Accord EX-L V6/Touring engine, you’ll be riding with 278 horsepower! On the other hand, the 2016 Sonata’s base engine gets only 178 horsepower, and it’s top-of-the-line 2.0 turbo engine gets just 245.

Towing Capacity

Yes, you read that correctly! The 2016 Accord, still in the sedan category, has a towing capacity of 1000 pounds! No need to borrow your brother’s friend’s truck the next time you need to pull something <1000 pounds. This is a perk that the Sonata unfortunately does not have!

Technology Features

It’s not a secret anymore that Honda just has overall better technology options and features than Hyundai. With this being the case and to save time, we’re listing technology features that the 2016 Accord offers as standard that the 2016 Sonata does not come standard with:

  • Standard remote vehicle starting system
  • Windows can be controlled from the key in the outside lock cylinder or the keyless remote
  • Standard speed-sensitive windshield wipers
  • Dual-zone air conditioning
  • Automatic air conditioning
  • Rear heating and cooling vents for backseat passengers

See what the hype is about concerning the 2016 Accord in San Antonio? The Accord is packed with jaw-dropping features that you just can’t get in the 2016 Hyundai Sonata! Fiesta Honda invites you to come try the new Accord out in person by stopping by the showroom today!

2016 Nissan Altima vs. 2016 Honda Accord in San Antonio

If you’re looking for a reliable and high-tech sedan, you’ve come to the right place. Not only does Benson Honda have plenty of fabulous options in stock, but we can back up our choices, too! Today we’re going to look at why the 2016 Honda Accord in San Antonio is unmatched next to the 2016 Nissan Altima.

You want to buy a car that is safe on the road, right? Although both sedans are safe, the 2016 Honda Accord has much better safety ratings. In the IIHS 40 MPG small overlap frontal offset crash test, the 2016 Accord had an overall “Good” evaluation and a “Good” rating for the lower leg evaluation. Meanwhile, the 2016 Altima had an overall “Acceptable” evaluation and a “Poor” lower leg evaluation. Also, the Accord was recognized by IIHS as a 2015 “Top Pick Plus.” The Altima? It was only a standard “Top Pick” and did not receive the highest score.

You’ll also have a smoother ride in the 2016 Accord. The Accord has standard front and rear gas-charged shocks for better control over choppy roads. The Altima doesn’t offer this. The Altima also doesn’t offer the Accord’s drift compensation steering automatically switches to adjust to dangerous road conditions, which is something that could really come in handy this season!

If safety and a smooth ride are important to you but you’re more interested in the features, the 2016 Honda Accord beats the Altima in cool built-ins. With the Accord EX-L Touring, you’ll have memory seats that are activated with one touch of your keyless remote! For those rainy days, the Accord has standard windshield wipers that turn on and off according to the amount of rainfall, this is not available in the 2016 Altima. Lastly, although both sedans offer front heated seats, the Accord Touring has standard heated rear seats for those passengers in the back. No one is ever uncomfortable in the 2016 Honda Accord!

See? You just can’t pass up a great car like the 2016 Honda Accord in San Antonio. Go ahead, get your hands on the wheel of this impressive sedan at Benson Honda today!

2015 Nissan Altima vs. 2016 Honda Accord in San Antonio

If you’re looking for a reliable, safe and stylish sedan, you’ve come to the right place! Benson Honda wants to make sure that you get not only the best price for a new car, but the best new car possible. Today we’re comparing the 2015 Nissan Altima and the 2016 Honda Accord in San Antonio to see which one outshines the other!

As far as safety features go, the Accord has significantly more offerings. Firstly, there is the optional Collision Mitigation System which uses forward mounted sensors to warn the driver of a possible collision. However, if the driver doesn’t react quickly enough, the breaks are applied at full-force to reduce impact or avoid the collision all together! The Accord also has Daytime Running Lights that will increase the chance of other vehicles seeing your car, even in the daylight.

If you don’t want to pay an arm and a leg after you already purchase the vehicle, then you better go with the 2016 Accord, because it’s proven to be more reliable than the Altima. Consumer Reports predicts that the Accord’s V6 reliability will be a whopping 77% better than the Altima’s V6. That’s pretty significant if you ask us! In addition to that, Honda overall is ranked above Nissan in reliability with Honda in 5th and Nissan in 12th.

Aside from safety and reliability, the 2016 Honda Accord in San Antonio has some fun extras and capabilities. For example, the Accord can tow up to 1000 pounds, and unfortunately, the Altima can’t tow at all. The Accord comes standard with adjusting windshield wipers that regulate with rainfall, automatic headlights, standard dual zone AC and adaptive cruise control.

How is the 2016 Honda Accord in Waco looking now? Seems like it’s the better choice of the two sedans! If you’d like to see it for yourself, come stop by Benson Honda and one of our associates would be happy to help you out!

Honda Accord News from Your San Antonio Car Dealer

2014 Honda Accord

Benson Honda, your San Antonio car dealer, is proud to announce that the Honda Accord broke a new record this past year. In 2013, for the first time ever, more Honda Accords were produced in North America than Toyota Camrys. The Toyota Camry is often thought of as the Accord’s primary rival. So, this is quite an accomplishment for the Honda mid-size vehicle.

Last year, a total of 466,695 Honda Accords were built on the assembly line at Honda’s plant in Ohio, which marked almost a 20% increase in Accord production from the previous year. Only 445,973 Toyota Camrys were produced in 2013 at the Toyota plant in Kentucky.

This spike in Accord production directly correlates to the increase in public interest in the Accord (and all Hondas, for that matter) in North America and beyond. Approximately 100,000 of the Accords produced in Ohio last year were exported to markets like South Korea and Russia. The rest of the Accord fleet was sold in the U.S.

Worldwide, Toyota produces the greatest number of vehicles of any automaker, which makes this recent Honda accomplishment particularly noteworthy. Honda’s Accord production expansion in 2013 might be a sign that the automaker has plans to position itself as the world’s most prolific automaker.

In other Honda Accord news, Kelley Blue Book recently named the 2014 Honda Accord one of the 12 Best Family Cars of the year. The Accord was also named a Top Safety Pick + by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and was given the Green Car of the Year title from Green Car Journal. It’s no wonder international interest in the Accord is on the rise and Accord production numbers are skyrocketing!
