Reliant Stadium Parking and Tailgating Tips
If you’re Texan fans like us, we know that you’re sharing our pain. The last five weeks have been pretty depressing, but there is still a glimmer of hope on the horizon, as the season is far from over. This Sunday we take on the Colts at home, and although they are coming off of a bye week, we still have a lot of confidence in our team. In preparation for the game, we are providing some Reliant Stadium parking and tailgating tips for all of the fans who were lucky enough to score a ticket for Sunday night. We’re telling you right now, if you have never been to Reliant Stadium before, you’re in for a really good time.
All parking lots open four hours prior to kickoff. Just remember that parking at the stadium requires a pre-purchased parking hangtag, and you are not able to buy any additional parking at the gate. In the first hour, all parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. You are not able to save spots, so if you plan on tailgating with friends, be sure to drive together.
As long as you get there right away, there is plenty of time to get the barbeques fired up. However, if you are bringing out the big guns, and plan to tow your barbeque behind your car, you need to purchase an additional hangtag. Believe us, many people take tailgating at Reliant Stadium seriously. It is easily one of the best-smelling pre-game parties in America.
The best part about Reliant Stadium is that you are able to get some extra tailgating time in after the game. The lot remains open for tailgating up to an hour after the game ends. That gives you time to polish off all those delicious leftovers and wait for some of the traffic to clear out before you call it a day.
If you want to take part in the tailgating at Reliant Stadium, but don’t have a car, be sure to check out our new and used car inventories where we have plenty of vehicles capable of providing superior seating and storage for all of your friends and food for the game. If you’re going to the game, be sure to stay safe and have fun. Go Texans!
