Even across the ocean, Honda is being recognized for being a car that is made to last.
A new study in the United Kingdom by researchers at potholes.co.uk found that Hondas are the most resilient cars when it comes to running over pesky potholes.
Here at Benson Honda, the leading Honda dealer in San Antonio, we know it is a pain when your car gets damaged by a poorly paved road, and this research reinforces our belief that a Honda is the way to go when buying a new or used car.
The website, which is set up by a warranty provider called Warranty Direct, looked over tens of thousands of policies to see which brands were least and most susceptible to damage from potholes.
Less than 2 percent of Hondas in the policies analyzed had axle or suspension damage from potholes or other problems on the road.
“As councils struggle to solve the pothole problem, consumers can at least be smart about their vehicle of choice,” said Duncan McClure Fisher of Warranty Direct. “We’ve found some cars have an uncanny ability to absorb the jolts.”
The study found Chrysler, Mercedes-Benz and Land Rovers to be the most susceptible to damage from potholes with more than 10 percent reporting damage each year.
With winter in full swing, potholes are unfortunately a given. There’s not much you can do about that, but according to this study, there is one way to at least keep the damage at bay: buy a Honda.
